Based on the Governors of Illinois and Indiana executive orders, the Department of Homeland Security's guidance and in accordance with the National Association of Landscape Professionals, our business has remained open. One of the great things about our profession has always been is that we get to be outside all day, often at most working in groups of two or three and maintaining more than six feet of distance; we are especially grateful for this right now.
Over the past few weeks, we have been taking the following steps to ensure the safety and protection of both our employees and our clients:
For our Landscape Build work:
-We are encouraging communication by phone, email and virtual meetings.
-For in-person meetings, we can do that outside on your property keeping a safe distance.
-Our managers and designers have the flexibility to work remotely.
For our Landscape Maintenance work:
-We are encouraging communication by phone, email and
-We normally do not need an in-person meeting for providing proposals for maintenance work; we will visit your property on our own and follow up in a day or to with a proposal.
-If we do need an in-person meetings, we can do that outside on your property keeping a safe distance.
For all our Crews we are taking the following additional precautions:
-Each night our trucks and equipment are completely wiped
down and sanitized.
-Each crew has hand sanitizer available at all times to them.
-Everyone has been instructed to stay home if they or a family member is not feeling well.
-We have staggered start times to allow for more social distancing in our shop and yard.
It is important to continue maintaining our lawns and landscaping, so things do not get out of hand. Our maintenance crews will begin the first couple weeks of April doing spring clean-ups, lawn treatments and such. I am confident we can maintain good social distancing and, for the most part, naturally do this on any regular day. I would ask that to protect each other, please direct any questions to the office and not to the crew directly. We will make sure your requests are received by the crew.
If you have questions, please reach out to me or any of
our staff directly during regular business hours by phone or email or fill out
the contact request
We will continue to adjust as needed and appreciate your understanding. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Oh…and wash those hands!
